The Pluses Of Buying Commercial Buffer

Posted by Guest on March 5th, 2010

Cleanup floors that see high-volume visitors like in comfort shops, retail stores, or anywhere with a large ground can be quite a nightmare for business owners. Most businesses use the old mop-and bucket program, but many reasons exist for why switching to some ground scrubber would be a lot more easy, cost-effective, and risk-free.

First of all, regarding a convenience or retail shop, a wet floor implies your clients can’t get towards the items in your shelves. Every 2nd you must block an isle to wait for ground to dried out, is a 2nd that those items are not obtaining sold, and you’re losing money. In industrial settings, work cannot get done so long as the floor is wet and dangerous.

One of the primary drawbacks to using a mop is the fact that it is only spreading the dirt close to. The floor only looks clean till the ground dries, leaving the exact same dust and residue that was there prior to, only now it is often diluted and spread out a bit.

A good industrial grade flooring scrubber may be the perfect solution. Floor scrubbers usually use a program that entails spraying the ground with a combination of water and cleaning chemicals, scrubbing the floor to break up dirt, residue, and spill, after which a squeegee-vacuum mixture that sucks up the utilized water, leaving the ground totally clear and dried out.

Floor scrubbers also have the benefit of getting incredibly simple, and simple on the back. They’re easy and comfortable to push, and need little maintenance: you just fill with drinking water and chemical substances, and empty it right after cleaning.

When selecting a floor scrubber, you should find the solution that best fits your requirements - some are operate by electricity and have a cord dragging behind you, and some use propane to permit for better mobility. Propane powered ground scrubbers are certainly the simplest, and much less frustrating choice.

Ionic Air Purifier - Commonly Asked Questions Concerning Ionic Air Purifiers

Posted by Guest on March 1st, 2010

If you’re thinking about buying a new ionic air purifier, you’re probably asking yourself a few questions. This brief article will give you some fast answers to 6 frequently asked questions relating to the ionic air purifiers that are currently available for purchase.

What is the difference with an Ionic Air Purifier and other air filters?
Ionic Purifiers utilize an electric charge to charge air, catch dust in the room and draw them into the air cleaner. Normal air cleaners use a filter created of compacted paper that traps dirt when they are blown into the purifier.

Do Ionic Air Purifiers eliminate cigar odor from the surroundings?
Ionic Air Purifiers get rid of any impurities and little specks from the room, and this may include cigar smell. It improves the air quality inside of the house, specially in the houses of smokers. These air cleaners work especially well in not so big spaces, especially if the resident is a non-smoker who would want cleaner air in their surroundings.

How much noise does an Ionic Air Purifier generate?
Though this could differ by brand, many Ionic Air Purifiers are really quiet or almost silent. They don’t need a heavy duty fan and blower to move the air through a filter, so they are much quieter than a traditional air cleaner, and could be utilized when you are sleeping.

How do I clean my Ionic Air Purifier?
Cleaning does vary from brand to brand, but many have a statically charged collection bin or plate that is easily removed. Wipe down the bin or tray using a clean, damp piece of cloth. If there is tough filth or bits and pieces stuck on the plate, you can use a delicate soft cleaner, such as a little amount of diluted rubbing alcohol, but this might harm various models. Check the product manual for the best description for each purifier.

Where can I purchase an Ionic Air Purifier?
For the most excellent choice and price, check web shops. While online sites do require shipping, retailers often overprice these items because Ionic Air Purifiers are quite new and demand is high.

I still need other answers. Where would you recommend?
Web forums on ionic air purifiers are few and far between.  Currently, there is one discussion board that I can suggest, nevertheless. That’s the ionic air purifier forum at http://ionic-air-purifier.bidandblog.com .  It is a tremendously lively, free of charge forum focused on ionic air purifiers where visitors have almost certainly previously posted every potential question that you could want answered.   The site also contains live auctions for ionic air purifiers plus a no cost email service that will email you whenever a new ionic air purifier auction is posted.  Couple that with some additional search tools that make finding ionic air purifiers easy, and I’d say that the site is certainly worth a look.

Scouring Powder & Spray Cleaners You Can Make Yourself

Posted by Guest on February 21st, 2010

Grandma managed to keep her home clean long before there was an aisle in the grocery store devoted to perfumed products that promised to make her job easier. Rather than a bargain, it’s easy to wonder if we aren’t spending a lot for high-priced toxic chemical goo.

The good news is that you can keep more of your hard-earned money AND get your house clean without lots of toxic chemicals. Here are four simple products that you can make to clean several areas of your home.

SCRUBBING POWDER
Sprinkle this no-scratch formula onto a wet sponge and apply with a circular motion onto a surface. You can use Baking Soda alone, but for extra water softening and germ-fighting I use 1 part Borax, 2 parts Baking Soda and ½ part salt. This will take care of some stubborn stains. Store this in a shaker container with a tight fitting lid.

VINEGAR SPRAY & RINSE
Used as a rinse for the homemade scouring powder, this will create a foaming action. Pour together equal parts water and vinegar. Place your solution in a pistol-grip sprayer. Surfaces that you’ve cleaned with your scouring powder can be sprayed with this solution, wiped and then rinsed. Surfaces are left shining. Vinegar is a good degreaser and discourages bacterial. This spray alone is useful for wiping down surfaces like tables, counters and glass. If you use this as an after shower/bath spray it will also discourage mold on your grout.

GLASS, METAL & HARD SURFACE CLEANER/DISINFECTANT
Use a solution of equal parts rubbing alcohol and water to wipe down surfaces to be kept germ-free without streaking. An additional two Tbsp of vinegar should be added to each cup of this blend. This doesn’t spot and it dries quickly. This is good for use on light switch plates and knobs that see a lot of ‘hand traffic.’

SOAP SCUM & MOLD TREATMENT
Hard water can lead to a problem with soap scum and mold. Place one part Hydrogen Peroxide with two parts water to make an effective leave-on application. Place it into a spray bottle and spray onto the surface. Let it sit for an hour and then clean with scouring powder.

This article is for the information of the reader. Using any of these suggestions must be done with good judgment at the risk of the reader. {Discover more tips about organic cleaners that you can make yourself at http://www.learnandlivewell.com/}

There are some many websites that claim to provide articles that are all about kitchen cabinet refacing but end up mixing the ideas and suggestions made with replacement. Allow me to briefly share some thoughts on this subject matter.

Defining Refacing Kitchen Cabinets

This is a way of making old kitchen cabinets to look new by adding a new coating such as laminate, veneer or thermofoil. In most occasion you may just have to replace the drawer fronts and doors only.  Compared to kitchen remodeling, this is much faster to complete.

This is probably the cheapest way to own new cabinets as compared to buying new ones. All in all then, it is the most efficient, affordable and hassle-free way to boost your kitchen’s look and feel.

Let us briefly look at some of the different coating that is used

Laminate

This is basically a plastic film material but you can also get some made from thin sheet resins e.g. that made from polyethylene. One thing about it is that it is cheapbut it is not as resistant in wear and tear. Having said that, it works well in heat oil resistance and can seal heat perfectly.

The Thermofoil Material

This is considered to be a revolutionary new wood-like material for Cabinetry.  It has many names e.g. RTF or Vinyl and it comes as quite a thick vinyl film, which is bonded tightly on a warp-resistant engineered wood core.

Understanding Wood Veneer

This is a thin slice of wood that is cut from a log with a slicing, peeling, or sawing machine. This is best for giving the wood a nice grain. Take note that this material comes in a variety of species. This means you will need to consult with an expert to help you find the best for you kitchen.

Carpet Cleaning Machines

Posted by Guest on January 27th, 2010

With the invention of Carpet, the invention of a Carpet cleaner was not far away. The first hand held Carpet cleaning machine was designed and tested in the 1860’s in Chicago, while the first power operated vacuum machine was invented in the early 1900’s by an English man named H. Cecil Booth.

The vacuum cleaner was heralded as a blessing in disguise for many housewives, whose weekly task it was to keep the house clean. Initially, vacuum cleaners were only capable of sucking up dust and dirt, but with modern technology inventors were soon capable of designing a wet-cleaner that can steam carpets and kill germs.

Carpet was capable of covering the floor of a house, flat, or bungalow and keeping peoples feet warm in winter. Initially, people needed to sweep their floors, or carpets, but with the invention of the vacuum cleaner, people could easily detract the dirt and dust from their carpets with less effort. It was also realized that businesses, apartments and corporations would need someone to clean their carpets too, so the invention of the commercial carpet cleaners was next.

Essentially, the vacuum cleaner operates using a pump system. The pumping device sucks up air from a house, which in turn sucks up the dust and dirt from anything in front of the house opening. Inside the vacuum cleaner is a filtering system that collects the dust and dirt that can later be placed in the garbage outside.

One of the most significant developments in carpet cleaning machines has been the invention of the cyclone carpet cleaner. Unlike previous carpet cleaning machines, the cyclone carpet cleaner collects dust and dirt in a large cylinder type container. The cyclone carpet cleaner operates using a central air force and a number of filters. These filters filter the dust and dirt into stages, so that the air being sucked up into the cylinder container can then be cleaned and re-released into the air through a central outlet.

Robotic vacuum cleaners are also a relatively new invention, enabling the carpet to be cleaned by a carpet cleaning machine without the need of people power. Using a simple control mechanisms, the robotic vacuum cleaner can navigate its way around the floor of an apartment, or home, cleaning dust and particles from the floor and then return to its docking station for re-charging.

Air Compressor Blows More than Tires

Posted by Johnathan Bakers on October 5th, 2008
by Johnathan Bakers

Air compressors are a great machine for anyone that has tools that run with power. these are going to help you so much and there are different types out there to consider. You have to think about the tools you need to air compressor for. Here are a few brands that are going to be a great value for you, Copeland, Husky, and Quincy.

Things to think about for an air compressor

You should know how much you are going to use the compressor and what kind of power you are going to need. There are so many different tools that run form a compressor. Some do not have to have the more high powered compressors to make them run efficiently. Other tools for example a drill will need the high power in the compressor to make them run better and keep the air moving.

You need to think about the budget that you are on. sometimes getting a previously used compressor that was well taken care of is the best choice for any smaller budget.

The pump is going to be another important consideration for the compressor. Their are direct and belt drive to choose from. a direct drive will last for up to five hundred hours. They will also take up less room in your workshop and they are going to be better suited for simple projects. One benefit is that you do not have to change the oil. The belt drive will need to have the oil changed at least every five hundred hours and this will last for up to fifteen hundred hours. They are great for anyone that has their own projects that they want to tackle at home.

Think about the power that you want in the compressor. You should think about the horsepower and the square inch of pressure. It is smart to make sure that you have a powerful machine that you can use it for long term. Read what your tools require before you purchase the compressor.

Another thing to remember is the tank size of the compressor. They will come in different sizes from one to two hundred gallons. The more that you use the equipment the bigger the tank will have to be. you should always go a little bit bigger than you would think is necessary. This will give you the ability to be sure that you are getting what you need from the compressor.

Getting the affordability of an air compressor

You need to do some comparable shopping or your air compressor. Think about the brands and read about them. look online and see what type of deals are there. There are machines that are going to be different and the same and come in all different prices. Many of the online sites will also offer good shipping prices to make the deal even better.

With Good Plans, Woodworking Is Enjoyable

Posted by Peter Wilson on September 21st, 2008
by Peter Wilson

Planning is always a good idea when it comes to home projects, especially if the project has the goal of completing a bookshelf, cabinet, small desk or other furniture item. Woodworking plans are essential for constructing a bathroom cabinet, a headboard for the bed or a shelf to organize all the books scattered about the home. If a homeowner or amateur craftsman has woodworking plans in mind, then those plans should probably be in print as well.

However, the first question to ask might be: What’s in a good plan? Many people have found that commercially available woodworking plans can eliminate the guesswork in a project and provide a solid set of guidelines for completing the wood item successfully. Such a plan should include a list of all the lumber needed by type and quantity, but should also provide a time estimate for completion of the project. The better plans will make suggestions as well, such as steering the beginner toward simpler projects, such as a birdhouse, while other plans will state that they are for someone with more experience.

A complete plan should not only be a pattern for the project, but should also include a list of the hardware and accessories needed. It is essential to know, before starting, the type and number of hinges, drawer pulls etc. required for the project. Good plans give a written description of the materials that will work best and may even suggest where to buy these items.

Some of the best woodworking plans and project plans will include a tool list, to help the craftsman complete the job with the least amount of stress and manual labor. The best plans will not assume the individual owns all the necessary tools and will be very thorough when listing the tools and equipment needed. Good plans usually include such details as the type of saw blade needed to make the proper cuts, etc.

Perhaps the key benefit of using good plans is the availability of measurements, clearly printed in black and white. For example, a particular type of bed frame plan should indicate clearly how wide individual headboard drawers, cabinets or sliding doors should be so that the overall measurements are exact. Generally, the person writing the plan, whether it is purchased or available free, has completed the project two or more times. This means that any small “bugs” and details have been worked out.

How Hard Is It To Read Plans?

This is a good question, one that is often brought up by those with less experience in woodworking. Photographs and line drawings help overcome language barriers, allowing plans to be used in various countries. The best plans illustrate the project step by step. Some of these plans don’t even need extensive written instructions, if the illustrations are complete and clear. In recent years, written directions have been provided in several of the most-used languages. The greatest benefit of good woodworking plans and patterns is this: A beginner doesn’t need to study and become an expert to make the plans work. Woodworking plans, followed carefully, can be surprisingly easy to use.

Good plans will also have a nice photo of the finished item, in addition to ideas for finishing with stain or paint. Some even suggest placement in a particular room or home location. It is quite likely that someone has created a great furniture item previously and has created a plan that will work for anyone else.

Get The Right Chain Saw For The Job

Posted by Greg Hansward on September 10th, 2008
by Greg Hansward

Chain saws are a very useful and handy tool to have for many outdoor uses. Tree trimming, cutting firewood and making log furniture are just a few of the most common uses for a chain saw. When thinking about buying a chain saw, be sure you get the right chain saw for the job(s) at hand.

There are three major styles of chainsaws: consumer, standard and professional. The consumer chain saw is best if you only have an occasional need for a saw. They have similar features as the professional and standard but at a lesser cost. They don’t have as much power, but if your jobs will be small, you won’t need the extra level of power.

Standard chain saws will cost more, but have more power, features and better performance than consumer saws. They are very similar to professional saws and are perfect for general use. Standard chain saws are often used by loggers, farmers and homeowners with wooded property. They offer you power, durability and a good price for what you’re getting.

Professional chain saws, while more expensive, can withstand the heavy use they get on an everyday basis for heavy-duty work. Their size ranges from lightweight to heavy duty with a bar that may be up to six feet in length.

You’ll want to check on the different models of chain saws. A store that carries different brands may be helpful in your selection as well as checking reviews and consumer reports. Once again, the model of chain saw you buy should coincide with what your use will be for the saw.

Husqvarna is a brand name that makes excellent chainsaws and their Model 137 is no exception. This saw is a lightweight saw of compact size, making it easy to carry and handle. It’s a good quality, gas-powered saw that’s economical to use. This is the perfect saw for light jobs around the home and yard.

The Model 346XP is a high power saw for professional use. It’s ergonomically designed with a slim body for your comfort. The bar lengths range from sixteen to twenty inches. The 346XP is made for larger and heavier jobs. The Model 3120 is one of their largest saws, is used for tree felling, and is very sturdy to withstand tough conditions and weather. Loggers often use this saw model.

Stihl chainsaws are also good brands such as you’ll see in there M180, which is perfect for the average homeowner. It’s lightweight, easy to use and offers features like Easy 2 Start and easy chain adjustments. The MS290 is the perfect choice for medium use or farm work. It offers easy chain tension adjustments. The MS880 Magnum Pro is their heavy-duty model for daily use. Some of its features are Elasto start, heavy duty air filter and lightweight fly wheel.

Before you purchase a chain saw, take into consideration how often you’ll need it, how easy it is to operate and what you need to learn to operate it safely. Consider taking a safety course on the operation of chainsaws if this is new to you.
